If you are too lazy (or too busy) to read these articles, here are a few steps you could take right away...
- Use remanufactured cartridges. This will help with the amount of plastic that ends up in our waste systems. Cartridge recycling currently keeps more than 42,000 tons of plastic, metal and toner out of the waste stream.
- Buy brands that focus on environmental sustainability such as Kyocera and Xerox. Did you know Kyocera has their Japanese factory at a zero emissions level currently?
- Print duplex and recycle your paper.
- On pages that were printed using only one side, reuse these sheets for other one-sided print jobs. A little known secret in printing is paper has both a top and a bottom side.
- Delegate a person in your office to see if there are ways to improve your recycling efforts.
- Call the Laser Printer Center to help you in this challenging process!
